| 8) How do you calculate
the rent amount?
The rent amount is calculated at 30% of
the total household revenue, including any interest, payments
from a RIF or REER, pensions, alimony, etc. After the
30% is calculated, a small fee for utilities, parking, the use
of air conditioning is added to the basic rent to form the total
rent to be paid each month. Every member of the family
with revenue is considered when calculating rent.
